heh.
I'm back (by popular demand! ahhaa.. just kidding! =P )
Some of you have been wondering why i haven't updated.. reason being that i've been very busy for the past few days and my life has been rawthar uneventful, all in the name of prelims (sucks)! Even when i come online for awhile during breaks, i spend the time relaxing (chatting, gaming and all the other mindless activities known to man) and not doing anything related to thinking! haha.. blogging requires the use of the brain, y'know? YuPz!
Ironic, isn't it? I'm blogging at 11.20pm in the night, the night before my bio paper.. hahaha..
Anyway, had my GP paper today which sucked! like totally!
Question was ' Consider the value of International Cooperation and Communication '
I spent 30 mins choosing the question because i had a dilemma between a question on technology and this question, which is closely related to Globalisation!
hahaha.. yupZ! Wrote alot of crappy stuff like bilateral ties (SG-US -> Free Trade Agreement signed last yr), rebuiding iraq, United Nations, joint military exercises and all the other crappy stuff! Gosh!
Compre paper was surprisingly okay to me.. This makes me very very very scared.. My friends found it difficult.. so i have this feeling that i wrote super duper muper ruper out of point for the application question! Realised that i wrote alot of AQ, and this is my first time in like 5 exams that i wrote so much.. So i have this feeling that i wrote out of pt.. wheeeeeeeeeeee
Didn't study for GP, so am not gonna hope for much.. haha..
Andrew, your tag board has been down for quite awhile now.. Just wanna say that whatever happens, just follow your heart yah? Sometimes, that feelings of the heart can be so strong that it overwhelms the mind (=> logic). The reward? Euphoria! heh.
Anyway, if there's anything just message me or give me a ring -a phone call, not a ring- yah?
yupzzzzzzzzz!
Okey Dokey! That's all folks!
*farts* oops.. sorry! haha

Sailing
Well it's not far down to paradise
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Baby believe me, oh
It's not far to Never Never Land
No reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy
Of innocence again
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Baby believe me, oh
Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
I heard it could be
Just a dream and a wind to carry me
Soon I will be free, yeah
Fantasy, it gets the best of me
When I'm sailing, sailing
All the world in a reverie
Every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me, oh
Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
(Takes me away to where I want to be)
I heard it could be
Just a dream and a wind to carry me
Soon I will be free
Well it's not far back to sanity
At least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away
And find serenity
Oh, the canvas can do miracles
Just you wait and see
Baby believe me, oh
Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
I heard it could be
Just a dream and a wind to carry me
Soon I will be free, free
Sailing takes me away
To where I've always heard it could be
I heard it could be
Just a dream and a wind to carry me
Soon I will be free, yeah

Jokes
During the Japanese Occupation, 3 Singaporeans, Ah Meng, Ah Seng and Ah Beng were caught for smuggling. They were sentenced to death by firing squad.
That night, Ah Meng came up with a plan. He told the others that the Japanese were afraid of natural disasters. So he would cause them to panic, and escape in the confusion.
The next morning, Ah Meng was led to the wall. The firing squad was lined up and the Captain commanded, "Ready.. Aim..", but before he could complete, Ah Meng shouted, " Earthquake!! Earthquake!" The Japanese soldiers panicked and Ah Meng made his escape.
Later, the soldiers took Ah Seng out and the firing squad were ready. The captain commanded, "Ready... Aim..." This time Ah Seng shouted. " Flood! Flood!!" Again, the Japanese soldiers panicked and this time, Ah Seng made his escape.
Observing all this, Ah Beng began to get the idea. "It's important to get the timing right."
Soon, it was Ah Beng's turn. "Timing, that's the key.." Ah Beng kept saying to himself. The soldiers lined up in front of him. The captain started, "Ready..."
"Timing," Ah Beng thought to himself
"Aim..."
"Okay," thought Ah Beng, and shouted, " FIRE!!! FIRE!!! "

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for six days.
Eventually, Michael the Archangel found him on the seventh day, resting.
He inquired God, "Where have you been?"
God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds "Look Michael, look what i have made."said
God. Archangel Michael looked puzzled and said, "What is it?" "It's a planet,"
replied God "and I've put life on it, I'm going to call it Earth
and it's
going to be a great place of balance."
"Balance?" inquired Michael, still confused.
For example, North America will be a place of great opprtunity
and wealth, while South America is going to be poor. The middles east over
there will
be a hot spot and Russia willbe a cold spot. Over there I've
placed a
continent of white people and over there is a continent of black people."
God pointing to different countries. "This one will be extremly hot and
this one extremely cold, and this one covered in ice."
The Archangel, impressed by God's work, then pointed to a small
land mass and said, "What's that one?"
"Ah," said God. "That's Singapore, the most glorious place on Earth.
There are beautiful nuildings and races rich in culture and history. The people from Singapore are goin to be modest, intelligent and humourous and they are going to be found travelling the world. They'll be extremely sociable,
hard-working and high acheiving, and they will be known
throughout the world as diplomats and carriers of peace."?@Michael gasped in wonder and admiration but then proclaimed,"What about balance, God? You said there will be BALANCE!" God replied wisely, "Wait until you see the jokers I'm putting next to them. I'm calling them 'Malaysians'!"

Discovery Fiesta
lalalala.. Discovery Fiesta is quite cool!
haha.. i signed up for soap making today.. based on the theory of saponification (Alkaline Hydrolysis) of Tri-Glycerides! haha! Like exactly what we learnt in organic chem, esters! haha.. I made 3 soaps.. all of them came out out of shape! =((
Heated the mixture of water-NaOH-Ethanol and the another chemical for too long i fink... it became semi-solid when i poured it into the jelly mould! haha..
I took one home though, the best looking soap! =P
U know arh.. while i was waiting for Jie Yong outside the Audi, Mr Khoo dragged me to go into the Audi for this Chinese Film Appreciation Course.. Reason being that there are too little people and since Zhu Hou Ren was there, it would look quite bad if only a few turned up.. so, happily when Jie Yong came out of the toilet, he agreed to go coz Mr Khoo told us that it was only 30 mins ( which was quite off.. coz the thing lasted for 1.5 hrs). Bitched all the way from the toilet to the Audi coz i would not be able to understand it and stuff like this.. until they started showing a 1 hr movie ' tian1 sheng1 ren3 cai2 ' with English subtitles ( PHEW! )..
The plot of the show was superbly good! It depicts this Insurance Company manager who is very stingy, so stingy to the extent that he would make his secretary wait outside the car while he sits in the car signing documents and his reason was ' If i save the money on parking, by the end of the year i would have a new 4 wheels ' and he didn't even ask her in to sit in the car... Not too mention, he is super greedy, when he goes to the supermarkets he eats almost all of the sample food products... He would also go to the hospital and look for people who are not very sick ( just a flu or cough ) to sell his insurance knowing that he won't lose money coz their sickness' are not severe..
All these changed when both his kidneys failed and when he was told that he had to go through dialysis all his life, he felt his world crumbling around him. Until 3 people came into his life to give him support and care for his condition.. One of whom had cancer (which she didn't show or tell anybody), the other just went through a kidney transplantation and the last one has to go through dialysis every 2 days for 4 hrs.. They gave him support and cared for him when he was hospitalised..
2 weeks later, the woman with Cancer died.. This shocked him greatly as she was always cheerful infront of him and she was the last person he thought would die.. He later found out that 2 yrs ago the doctors gave her only 6 months to live but she persevered on for 24 months. Her joyful self masked her condition and this gave her ability to help others. In the card she wrote to him before she died, she said '
There's love on earth, like there's love in each and everyone of us. When there's love, there is no fear'
Along with other subsequent events that took place, the event which impacted him most was his brother ( whom he mistreats all the time ) agreeing to transplant his kidney to save him the trouble and pains of dialysis treatment. After the successful operation that took place, he learnt many valuable lessons in life.. Lessons like doing things with good intentions would generate greater rewards that materialistic things can't offer (like his brother). From that day on, he changed his way of life. Eg. He would not go around selling insurance for the sake of helping people and not for his own gains.
It's a true story, directed and written by Zhu Hou Ren. And the idea of kidney failure and 3 Caregivers were taken from his sister when she suffered from kidney failure 2 years back. However, the character being stingy and stuff was just added in to spice up the story and to generate a story line.
A rather nice and touching show which resembles the people in modern Singapore. If i had a chance to rate it, i'd give it 8/10. It's superbly good!
Towards the end of the movie they said something like ' sometimes, we may not have a choice whether or not to help others and if we don't, we would get into trouble. But we if we can do it from the heart under such circumstances, we would get more rewards in return'
It also tells us that when we are in trouble we can choose to be pessimistic and die or optimistic and live longer to help others...

heh. Rapture was quite good today! It was super croweded though.. the SAJC dancers really did well! u guys rawk manz! heh. There were also guest performances by SYF Gold groups RJC and TJC and other groups from NUS Dance Emsemble and the SAJC Dance Alumni! Among the guest groups, NUS Dance Ensemble was the best! They put up two items and both were displaced with great precision and dance steps.. heh
lalala..
some side issue... i think i failed the DSTA test.. and no, those who do well for the test will not be working in intelligence.. They will be posted to IT-related vocations after their BMT.. vocations like server administrator...
The 2 hour paper was very very difficult! I saw stars.. They asked questions based on Unix systems, fire wall, hackers and stuff like these.. after the first 15 minutes, 80% of the 190 people left the auditorium coz it was too difficult.. i left after 45 mins... hmm.. haha.. thought i could slack in NS.. but noooooOoo..sigh sigh..
oh yah, i met quite a few of my SJI friends who were my competitors in micromouse when i was in Sec 4.. they were there fighting for a place too! hahaha.. it was like some Micromouse World reunion.. heh. Some of them are in NJ while others are in AC..
okok.. i gotta go have my dinner and sleep now.. very tired...
It's been a tiring and fulfilling weekend!

BooO!
Just got home from kallang theatre! haha. SNGS concert rocks man! Their dance ( which were mostly chinese orientated), symphony band, choir and ELDDS were superbly good! haha.
I really like their dance performance, ' International Dance '
They wore this indian-kind-of attire with this white mask at the back of their heads and it looked as if it was really their face at the back of their head when they danced.. very synchronised! haha..
The best part was their choir! haha.. they sang ' The prayer' by Charlotte Church! It's sooooooo soooooo niceeeeee!! *mesmerized*
Oh yah.. they were wearing this red attire which looked like SIA's attire.. only that it's the qi pao colour.. haha..
lalalala.. quite cool!
Their band played 'Concerto d'Amore ' too!! ahhaha..
Oh yah, and their primary school dancers.. all of them can do splits, side cartwheels and front cartwheels! haha.. i think my primary school is damn shibai.. haha.. allan was saying.. ' next time, must make all the councillors do spilts! stress liaoz! '
HAhahHAa.
And the super funny thing was this group of girls in black coming on stage during the intervals between performances and acted.. haha.. super funny! The first interval, there were this 4 girls.. in this arrangement from left to right - 1 lying down, 1 standing up pretending to be riding a motorcycle, 1 being the motorcycle handle and finally another one lying down..
The front and back girls acted as the wheels.. and they rolled from the centre of the stage to the other end! quite dumb but funny.. haha haha.. They did a few other funny stuff too! haha..
Surprisingly, i set beside this old saint.. he started talking to me and Allan after he saw the SAJC crest on Allan's shirt.. he told us he graduated in 1972!
hahaha.. he is now the director of info tech and communications in Singapore Poly.. haha.. so cool man!
One of the present teachers used to be his teacher, Mr Victor Wee... And his daughter is a J1 councillor! haha.. Mr Wee rocks man!!
JC mass was amazingly good too! NJC organised this mass and the turnout was like 80-90 people? when we had like 40 people every time? amazingly cool right???? hahaha.. The prayer room was super stuffy and hot! haha.. oh yah.. We'll be moving to the hall next month for JC mass.. haha.. Considering that we told the people to bring 1 friend each.. so by right we should have about 180 people! lalala!
Sad thing is.. SA's losing the dominance in numbers! we used to dominate the JC mass with our numbers.. but now.. VJ, NJ and CJ are becoming bigger and bigger each mass and SA is becoming smaller and smaller!! ahh.. hahah..
=PP
Oh yah.. haha.. Geraldine: Thanks for asking me to go..really enjoyed it! haha.. My friends enjoyed it too! Sincere apologies that we were late coz of lotsa unforseen circumstances ( mass ended a little late, no taxi, traffic jam etc etc.. ). haha. And don't worry, i'll keep my words! if you know what i mean! haha!
Will be going to DSTA for my test tml! If i do well in it, i'll be working for Intelligence for NS.. if i don't, May God save my soul...
I'll be fighting for places with my ex competitors in micromouse from SJI.. haha.. Reiping, Randy, Kelvin seet.. funky!
Wish me luck! (luck)
and pray for me yah???
=P
