Durians

You knowww what! Something damn cool happened yesterday. While returning to camp after lunch at BK, we passed by Science Discovery Center.. then suddenly, from the dense foliage to the side of us started to rustle then out of nowhere, a durian dropped and started bouncing on the road of the SDC carpark! Right infront of us! haha.. quite an experience! If we had walked a little faster, the durian would be a killer durian liao..haha.. We left it in the office for a day to ripen up first.. but it was a hell of a bad choice! The place smelt like durians and complains started coming in.. bah.
Anyway, we just opened and ate the durian today and it sure tastes good! SAFTI Durians.. quite fleshy! haha

Rapture!

"RAPTURE", This year's title of the most talked about event, in SAJC and even among the Ex-SAJCians.
Day started out waiting for Jaime after booking out at 1730hrs for a VERY long time at the main entrance, loitering around the entrance and the duty RP/guards thought i was up to no good and kept staring at me. Bah. The cab there was horrendous! Slow traffic after Buona Vista in the AYE and it stretched all the way until the end of Benjamin Shears bridge. madnesss! We were 20 minutes late but the concert didn't start until we arrived..haha.. cool huh? =D But seriously, we managed to get there just in time! Thanks to Walid, we got awesome seats!

The first item was S.A.X (Was wondering what it stood for but only got to know that it's short for "saxaphone", they didn't want to put SAX coz it sounded like SEX.. lol) by the SAJC Dance Society, one of the nicest! Most of the part, it consisted of 4 groups of dancers with only one group moving at a time and the other 3 remain still like as if they are frozen in time.. Next up was the one by the Alumni, "Tempest".. hhah.. We were cheering like mad coz quite a few of our year people were in it.. Jessica, Candace, Cynthia, Hui.. yah man! Quite good, but i prefer their later piece, Rogue, towards the end, also by the Alumni. It had songs like Beyonce's "Naughty" and Outkast's "Hey Mama"!! Awesome i tell you! Just awesome! The later piece by the Dance Society with the song ' YEAH! ' ( and ifyou haven't known by now, it's one of my fav songs! haha) by Usher was quite good too, it had quite cool effects with torch lights! haha!

There was also this dance that was inspired by the soundtrack of 'Hero', it had this professional Wushu guy doing his stunts with the female dancers dressed in traditional chinese attire dancing around him.. quite cool! A neat surprise man.. Everyone was mesmerized by the Wushu guy! haha.. Another awesome surprise (and i think a hot favourite) was the guest performance by a local group of breakdances! damn, they are good! They did all the antics that i've only seen possible by professional break dancers!!

NUS Dance Ensemble appeared again this year but not with another dance with a male dancer spinning continously on the stop for like 4-5 mins like last year! They have the coolest and most unique attire man! If there were best dressed (and most scantily dressed) awards, they would have won! They had very little on them except dark green/brown cloth that were cut into pieces pasted on their bodies- think seaweed. heh.

After the thing ended, Walid and I went onto the stage to give some of the dancers we know flowers! haha. Kala was like highly sought after! There were so many people looking for her after it ended! It was like school all over again man! Meeting up with friends whom i've not seen since graduation.. The atmosphere was just there man! hah.

Day ended eating prata with the rest at some prata coffeeshop. Felt so bad making Lanxi and her friends wait for us who were waiting for Jeremy.. In the end, they decided to leave first.. sorry!!! A super cok thing happened at the prata shop. I saw on the menu " Cheese + Egg Prata $2.00" I thought it was one cheese and one egg prata for 2 dollars.. and since i love both.. so i got it.. and guess what! It was Cheese and Egg Prata.. Gosh! No idea what i was thinking then man! it was like 1145pm? haha. Left at 0050 and here i am, back home, just taken a shower and i'mmm smeeellin' good!

Oh yah, blogger changed it's entry composition template. It now has various text functions and shortcuts! looks more user friendly now.

this sucks.. while walking to work today, i hit into something (quite hard) and that cost me my phone's LCD.. smashed it in my right jeans pocket.. gosh. Thankfully it's my thigh and not a few cm to the left or that would be serious! ouch.

The pasture is greener at the other side

fwah.. over the weekend, three of my friends left for Australia. One to Sydney and the other two to Brisbane. And in time to come, more will be flying off, especially to UK and US. BAH! And here i am stuck in Singapore!
Maddie and KuanSian's send off had the biggest crowd i've ever seen man! There were like 60+ people there! cool huh?

CHIJ 150th Anniversary

fwah.. just got back from the Cathedral! And know what? I served mass as an Altar Boy again after 7 years 'cause Jevon needed Altar Servers urgently. Feels quite weird though, putting on the cassock again.. carrying the candles.. Feels like i'm too old for this man.. When i got there, i was told that there were only 3. All 3 of us were from SA, same year.. Joshua, Jevon and Me.. was like.. " wah.. all NSF serving mass ah.. " Then 20 mins before mass, 6 Altar Servers ( they look sec 2 or 3-ish)from SJI came with their teacher.. That's when i felt that i was too old for this man..
Mass went quite alright except that i cok-ed up a few times.. heh. Oh yah.. There's a very nice IJ song.. they were singing it for the closing hymn but i forgot the name..

MJ's belated Hatchday and SAF DAY!!

Yay! It was SAF DAY yesterday!!! 1st July!! My day ended at 1300!! yay! don't you just love SAF? At the same time, it was super xiong.. was running arund the place doing stuff after work in preparation for dinner with the rest and her belated celebration.. haha.. It all turned out well and as planned except that i unknowingly leaked out a little surprise that 5th person will be coming.. haha.. other than that, it was awesome! Heh!
